MSK Practitioner
At Silverdale Family Practice we have Andrea who is our MSK practitioner. As a highly skilled MSK Practitioner, we would encourage you to book with her for any new bone, joint or muscle problems. Andrea can assess and diagnosis your problem and discuss with you further management, which may be exercises, investigations or onward referral. Andrea works with the GP and can discuss pain relief if need be. Please see more information below.
If you have :
- seen the GP about this problem or had this for a long time
You can self-refer yourself to the MSK service – ask at reception for the link
If this is a new problem and you have not seen anyone about it, feel free to book with the MSK Practitioner.
They can:
- Assess and diagnose
- Screen for any serious pathologies
- Issue with information on self-care
- Refer to MSK for a course of treatment
- Refer onward to other services
- Discuss physical activity and health
- Discuss fitness to work
- Request investigations
